About

This blog is a combination of my thoughts and ramblings as well as articles and blog posts I have written for the PUSH institute, the Massachusetts Daily Collegian and classes.

I am currently a senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and will graduate in May.

I am a journalism and BDIC double major (bachelors degree with individual concentration: architecture interior design and travel journalism). Upon graduation I hope to continue in the journalism field, either writing about sports or travel for a newspaper, magazine or online. Eventually I hope to write a book.

I love to travel and one of my goals in life is to try and visit – or set foot in – every country in the world. Sports have been an important part of my life since elementary school, but it didn’t occur to me to write about something that I’ve loved for so long until I was hired as assistant sports editor for the Massachusetts Daily Collegian in spring 2008.

Friends and family mean more to me than anything. Developing a strong relationship with people you can count on, and being that person for someone, is the most important thing in my life. Trust and reliability, along with humor of course, is a requirement in a true friend and I believe the people in my life fit that mold and I hope that I do for them.
